“Aava” is a word that catapults the mind far and wide. It means open, wide, vast, infinite. Aava is the feeling of calm that humans experience when faced with the horizon, both physically and mentally. This fall, we set out to capture what Aava feels like far up north, among the ancient mountains of Lapland.
